There Are No Words

These are the views from our property.....

No words can describe how this feels.

Have a beautiful day.

Love,
Stephanie

Our Property

Here we are, standing at the end of the drive-way to our property, facing the exit.

And now I turn around so you can see the landing where we will be building our home.

But wait there's more.

Really, there is.

It's not like we were expecting to purchase such a beautiful piece of God's green earth.

But, oh, what a peaceful place to be.

Thank you.

Peace always,

Stephanie

What Happened?

Wow, what ever happened to that lady who wrote that blog about her kids, her pup, her cats and her chickens? Well, she totally got into a funk. Is that even possible? To get into a funk? What is a funk anyway? Well, I'm writing this now. So what does that mean? Does it mean my dishes are washed? Maybe. Does it mean my kids are all tucked into bed? Probably. Or does it mean that I just took a moment to reflect and look at life and move on? Well, actually, we are moving. And we've been busy little bees. We are moving to ten acres of beautiful, did I say beautiful, oh I meant gorgeous property. Unfortunately, there is no power on the property currently. And that's fine, we can work with that. In fact, I'm pretty sure the kids will benefit from the lack of electronics nearby. But there is also no phone service. Well, there is cell phone service, but I happen to like my land-line. Oh the life I will lead with no internet access. So, what I am getting at is that I am thinking that I might shut down this blog. Or, I can lug my laptop to my parents house once a week and borrow their internet service. Well, we'll see. One way or another, we'll see.
Have peace. And joy. And laughter.

New Friends

There's one little puppy who is very happy with her new friends. The kittens are now about five and a half weeks old. Chloe is almost four months old.

And one thing our chihuahua likes to do is cuddle. Usually in a lap. Although there's not always one available.

So, there's nothing like a nice, soft, warm, furry friend to cuddle up with.

Everyone should have a warm friend to cuddle up with. But don't look here, all these little friends are spoken for. (You know you wanted one.)

Being umpire can be a lot of responsibility. Officiating the game, enforcing the rules of the game and the grounds, making judgment calls on plays, and handling the disciplinary actions. Oh wait, this is little league, nothing like that goes on here. But he does get to catch all the balls that are missed, and that's a lot of balls. He also helps out the other team.

I don't think it's required,

but what a nice guy. There's nothing like teamwork.

From Snowfall to Sunshine

Just think, a little over a month ago we had our last snowfall. And now here we are at the lake having a great time in the sunshine.

Rather than swim, my son decided he would prefer to go fishing.
And he sure caught...

a lot of....
seaweed.

So he took a break and swam around with his sisters.

And the girls had a blast. They had been begging and begging to go swimming. I finally said yes. They were thrilled. The water was nice. The sun was shining.

Praise the lord, my youngest is saying. At least I imagine her saying that.

No, he didn't give up. Not with all that seaweed to battle.

And even though he didn't get a bite today,

He sure had a great time trying.

I hope everyone is having a chance to enjoy some nice weather.

Peace,

~Steph

There comes a time in every girls life when she has to ask herself a very important question. How many chickens does one girl really need?

What?

Are you telling me that every girl does not ask that question?

Wow, where have I been all my life?

Well, as it is right now, I have sixteen birds, plus my other silkie is sitting on a nest of eggs. And we really don't need two roosters. And another thing, there are quite a few people out there looking for chickens. So, seven of my flock are off to start a flock of their own. Into a new coop of possibilities. To cluck where no chicken has clucked before. They will be going on their new journey tomorrow.

Including the littlest, the newest, the sweetest baby chick.

Just think, Dottie (the bigger gray chick) was that small just two months ago.

She may look big next to her little sibling, but look how small she really is compared to the full sized chicken.

Have a great day.
